Bishop Hying to Lead Men to Be St. Joseph Strong!! Friday, February 7

MEN!! MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2020

Bishop Donald J. Hying, Bishop of the Diocese of Madison, WI, will be coming to St. Mary of Pine Bluff to launch the “St. Joseph Strong” challenge, calling all men to enter into the 33 Day Consecration to St. Joseph (February 16 – March 19, Feast of St. Joseph).

All men who attend will receive (FREE) Fr. Calloway’s book, CONSECRATION TO ST. JOSEPH, along with a (FREE) “ST. JOSEPH STRONG” CHALLENGE COIN.

Recently, the kicker for the Super Bowl Champs, Kansas City Chiefs, was given a platform (a big lampstand) to let his light shine to others. Harrison Butker showed, precisely, what it means to be “St. Joseph Strong.” After being struck by the glory of God in experiencing serious and reverent Masses, he came to understand his true identity as a Catholic man; as a St. Joseph for his home. What did he do then? He went to Confession, after many years of wandering around away from his Catholic faith, searching for what is True. In that moment, he understood, with laser focus, who he was.

When asked if he prayed for a win in the Super Bowl, he said,

“No, I pray to be a good husband and father.”

What is fascinating is that the last time the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl was 1970, the very year the Novus Ordo Mass was promulgated. The Super Bowl trophy is named after Coach Vince Lombardi who, like Harrison Butker, not only went to daily Mass, but served at the Traditional Latin Mass. Harrison only serves the TLM occasionally, but serves most Masses, and trains Altar Servers.

It was Coach Vince Lombardi who said,

“Perfection is not attainable. But if we chase perfection, we can catch excellence.”

MEN!! We need to pray like this!!

“No (I don’t pray for worldly rewards), I pray to be a good husband and father.”
