I can’t help but believe the lightning bolt that hit the Vatican on February 11, 2013, the day Pope Benedict XVI shocked the world by abdicating his papacy, signaled an eruption of evil.
Of course, we know what entered the world and the Church, in this moment …
* Beheadings and the like in the world with Islamic terrorism exploding across the planet
* That grew into the rapid disintegration of our culture, including legalizing same-sex marriage
* Normalization of gender dysphoria (yes, grown men must be allowed to share bathrooms with little girls)
* Open satanism in Super Bowl Halftime shows, Holiday Parades, and Hollywood Award Ceremonies … that led to rampant satanic practices and witchcraft, especially with our youth
* Easy access pornography became even easier
* Ireland devoured by Satan in their vote to kill babies
* Vulgarity now replete on regular TV
* Boys are winning in girls’ athletic events
* German bishops propose Communion for Protestants
* No clear answer whether the pope advocates Communion for those in mortal sin
* Gay activist priest is invited by the Vatican to a special office and to be a keynote speaker
* Australia looking to make priests break the seal of Confession under penalty of law
* Late term and partial birth abortion is normalized
* Children of failed abortions must die
This, and much more, is all that has happened just since that lightning bolt hit the Vatican 7 years ago, today.
What is interesting is that, in the period immediately following that lightning strike, I faced some of the worst evil in my priesthood. I can’t go into specifics, but weak men were used by Satan to attack me and, among other actions, I needed to buy a firearm and learn to use it. I had several detectives visiting my rectory, to discuss threats to my life. I carried my firearm near me, with my concealed carry card, for years after that lightning bolt struck in 2013.
This evil also worked to ruin my reputation with vile defamatory letters to the bishop (Bishop Morlino understood what was happening. He was extremely supportive of me) and every way to destroy me and to divide and destroy my parish …all since that lightning bolt struck on February 11, 2013.
That has all subsided, and now when anyone asks how I am doing, I say, “I am living the dream.” My parish is AMAZING and God is AMAZING!!
