“I’m Going In” – Exodus 90 Begins Monday, January 13

I want to strongly encourage that you join me for a challenging 90 days, in the lead up to Easter. This challenge is called Exodus 90.

My friend, Sam Guzman of Catholic Gentleman, has been encouraging men to join. Here’s what Sam says …

Exodus 90 is starting … on Monday, January 13th. I’m doing it and I hope you will too.

I’m not going to lie. It’s going to be…hard. I like my creature comforts. And that’s exactly why I need the discipline and asceticism of this 90 spiritual exercise. God has given us all good things to enjoy, but in our fallen state, we can easily get too attached to these things.

As men, we are called to be servant leaders. But we can’t fully give ourselves if we don’t first possess ourselves. We all need to learn to overcome our disordered passions and strive to achieve self-mastery. This is the foundation of a virtuous life. Once we’ve done this by God’s grace, we can fully serve God and others as we are called to do.

So I hope you’ll join me on Monday. Sure, it will be difficult, but It will make Easter that much more joyful. Join at the link below.

Ladies … as you know, men are under assault. I ask you to please pray and fast for these men during this 90-day challenge. Maybe take this time to develop these:

  • Examine Your Conscience Before Going to Sleep (Take a few minutes just before bed to review your day asking, “How have I behaved as a child of God?” It’s also a great time to look at that “dominant fault” you need to improve upon in order to become a saint. Conclude these few minutes of reflection by praying three Hail Marys for purity and then pray the “Act of Contrition”)
