I’m So Tired of Being Bullied by Radicals. It’s High Time We Man-Up!
I’M SO TIRED OF BEING BULLIED BY RADICALS
Today, there is a Trump rally in the area. I’ve spoken with priests, and they say that many priests do go to these rallies, but you just don’t know it, because they are not in clerics. Why? They and their bishops are “afraid” of the “violent” backlash from the Left. I get that. But, I am beyond tired of it.
The Left is “calling the shots” because they threaten us, and we comply. If it were any other President … Kennedy, or even Reagan or Bush, this “incognito” for priests would never be called for. Why? Because the Left are not threatened by these, so they will not counter with their violent and destructive backlash.
In a recent article I posted, I quoted Evan Sayet,
“The Left has been engaged in a war against America since the rise of the Children of the ‘60’s. To them, it has been an all-out war where nothing is held sacred and nothing is seen as beyond the pale. It has been a war they’ve fought with violence, the threat of violence, demagoguery and lies.”
Sayet goes on to cite the “playbook” the Left is using …
“That book is Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals – a book so essential to the Liberals’ war against America … It is a book of such pure evil, that, just as the rest of us would dedicate our book to those we most love or those to whom we are most indebted, Alinsky dedicated his book to Lucifer.”
The Catholic Church is not immune to these demonic “Alinsky tactics.” However, in the years following Vatican II, such tactics were not necessary because Catholics had been conditioned to submit to legitimate authority. So, if “authority” tells us to gut out our beautiful churches and replace sacred art with felt banners, well, then, we obey without asking questions. And so, we humbly submitted to 50 years of a (as many have called it) “wreckovation” of the sacred beauty and the supernatural awe and wonder of our Catholic faith.
Just as in the political world, we in the Church have become more and more aware that the “squeaky wheel gets the grease.” Catholics who love being Catholic remained docile and compliant, while aggressive radicals, who seemed ashamed of our Catholic identity, took control of the Church. We respected their authority, and allowed them to transform our Church into something almost unrecognizable.
Recently, the announcement came that Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Sarah put a book together to defend priestly celibacy. I can’t wait to read it. But, you can see that they have joined their voices to those who are calling out that it is time to stop letting the “squeaky wheel radicals” in our Church to get all of the grease. They wrote:
“It is urgent and necessary for everyone—bishops, priests and lay people—to stop letting themselves be intimidated by the wrong-headed pleas, the theatrical productions, the diabolical lies and the fashionable errors that try to put down priestly celibacy. It is urgent and necessary for everyone—bishops, priests and lay people—to take a fresh look with the eyes of faith at the Church and at priestly celibacy which protects her mystery.”
Predictably, the radicals are going full-on “Alinsky” on Pope Benedict XVI and Cardinal Sarah, while all of the “men” (bishops, priests) of our Church cower in silence.
The same occurs in parishes across America. Most priests (and bishops) absolutely know that the way to restoration, belief and attendance is to restore sacred beauty and sacred tradition; to restore our Catholic identity. But, the “radicals” (those who dislike their inherited Catholic identity) of every parish will not hesitate to go full-on Alinsky on the pastor (destroy his reputation) and totally divide the parish, if the pastor does not comply. So, in 90% of these parishes, the pastor concedes to the “parish radicals.”
It’s “High Time” the “real men” of our Church rise up. But, how?
Listen, by our Baptism, you and I have been given three super powers. It’s “high time” we begin to cooperate with the supernatural grace of these powers; these offices.
- Priest: This is the power of prayer. We need to pray like everything depends upon it, and it does. We need to grow the number of people who pray with BELIEF. Belief that God hears and answers our pleas, in the way that God sees fit.
- Prophet: This is inspirational and, especially, “courageous” speech. Ask God to give you the courage to speak out in an efficacious way. A way that doesn’t look to win the argument, but win the soul. We are not called to be bullies, like the radicals, but we are not called to be silent either. Prophets “convince” others, not obliterate them.
- King: Does your very life give evidence of the life of Christ within you? Are people inspired (maybe even stunned?) by your convictions; your courage; your eagerness to minister to need; your peace, joy and love? Lead others to Christ by being Christ for others.
Finally, realize that the more we “rise up” with our super powers, the more we set evil on its heels. In other words, evil feels threatened and, as we have been seeing, overreaches and exposes itself for what/who it is, and loses its stranglehold.
We need to fight! But, I’m especially disappointed in men! I mean, bishops, priests and laymen alike! Why are we cowering as we allow these black hooded pansies and cat hatted Jezebels dictate to us how we should act and what we should believe?! No, there are not more than two genders, FTLOG!!
Men, we are called to be protectors, but we are cowards! I’m not saying we get in the mud, using the “Alinsky way.” Let’s wield the super powers we have received!! To borrow a line: “When they go low, we go high.” The “High Way” of supernatural strength; St. Joseph Strength!! But, YES, it’s “High Time” we get in the fight!
Rise up! Be saints!
