Loving God and Longing to Please God Does Not Make Me Extreme
LOVING GOD AND LONGING TO PLEASE GOD DOES NOT MAKE ME EXTREME
Why am I “traditional” or a so-called “conservative” or even rigid or extreme for simply following the prescription that opens the way to a grace-filled supernatural life; the Divine Life?
It was Jesus’ mom who gave us the key that unlocks the door to this amazing Divine Life.
It was at the wedding at Cana. Mary instructed her Son – AS MOTHERS DO – to expose Who He was by performing His first miracle. Jesus even gave His mom a little pushback, “Woman, what does this have to do with me? My hour has not yet come.”
Mary seems to ignore Jesus’ pushback – AS MOTHERS DO – and it is here that we receive that key that unlocks the door to the Divine Life. She tells the servants, “Do whatever He tells you.” BOOM!
With that, water is turned to wine. The very first of Jesus’ miracles that revealed Who He was, and brought miracle power into the world.
There it is! Many have come to understand this, and our mission of evangelization is to help many more to understand that the way into the Sacred Heart of Jesus; the way into the Divine Life is to “Do whatever He tells you.” We also learn what powerful influence Jesus’ mom has in our relationship with Jesus.
This is where UNITY will, ultimately, be found. It is not about liberal/progressive vs. conservative/traditional, it is about all of us discovering that KEY and uniting in that place together.
That KEY is to “Do whatever He tells you.” The PLACE is a grace-filled supernatural life in deep and SINCERE love for Jesus.
When we TRULY love Jesus, adhering to the complete Deposit of Faith is not a heavy load. It is an act of love. It is a delight.
Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful
and kindle in them the fire of your love.
Send forth your Spirit and they shall be created,
and you shall renew the face of the earth.
