FR. RICK’S BIRTHDAY PARTY!!
This is a very special birthday for me as it marks the 40th anniversary of my “one day” call to the priesthood.
On my 23rd birthday, I received an extremely strong call to become a priest. I can’t explain it. It was SO STRONG, I could not say “no.” I had no notions of becoming a priest until that day. I told my parents, we contacted the Vocation Director, and I never looked back. I have never doubted my call for even one second. I love being a priest!
My 23rd birthday was June 24, 1981 (Google that – maybe add the word “Catholic”).
This year, my birthday “happens” to land on our Thursday night “Heal Our Land Holy Hour” (Followed by our awesome Gracie’s Cafe social).
6:00PM – Holy Hour
7:00PM – Birthday Party at Gracie’s Cafe
RAIN OR SHINE – We’ll move the party to our gym, if it rains. So, don’t let the rain keep you from coming.
We’re having, what I believe will be served at the Messianic Banquet when we get to heaven: BURGERS & BRATS! You are invited to bring a dish to pass, but not necessary.
