My Belief in “How to Evangelize”

MY BELIEF IN “HOW TO EVANGELIZE”

Be humble. Keep smiling. Keep affirming. Don’t be preachy, especially when no opening has been given. Be extravagant in your graciousness and generosity. People will “get it” not because you “know stuff,” but because you “found something,” and it is empowering you to be extravageant with the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Self-control here means: A strength in having mastery to control one’s thoughts and actions … IOWs, a good “charity filter”).

Go to Confession frequently, believing in the power of supernatural grace, because that is the power to lift you high; that place where the fruit of the Holy Spirit comes naturally or, better yet, supernaturally.

People want to know there is a power that is greater than their depression or addictions or anything else that is controlling their lives. You must be ambassadors whose very lives say, “I have found that power.”
