Spiritual Leaders Must Speak Truth to Power!

“There is no path to holiness without some renunciation and without spiritual combat,” Pope Francis said in his September 27, 2020 Angelus address. Obviously, the rise of arrogant and shockingly aggressive evil can no longer be ignored. We all must admit that we are at a precarious moment in history. We are facing an historic spiritual battle, whether we choose to admit it or not.

Former Ave Maria Law School chaplain Father Michael Orsi said in a blistering speech[1] …

“We are at a precarious moment in our history … for too long, pastors and churches have been bullied into believing that they can say nothing political from the pulpit … Let me remind you: the Bible is a political document … The prophets, including John the Baptist, and Jesus, lost their lives because they spoke the truth to power … The Constitution is quickly being destroyed and unless the right choice is made in November, we may not have a court that is fair and balanced in its interpretation of the Constitution.”

And, what of those who speak truth to power?

How does this guy (Fr. James Martin) get an audience and a blessing from the pope, but Fr. Altman gets sent to the doghouse?

Fr. Dwight Longenecker wrote[2]:

“Father Altman speaks in the tradition of the biblical prophets. These men preached fearlessly and without compromise regarding the evils of their day. They held strong opinions and deliberately used powerful language and vivid imagery to make their point. The prophets were controversial and knew they would receive approbation and condemnation from those who rejected their correction.”

 

 

The Choice is Black & White – There is No More Gray Area!

“War broke out in heaven;
Michael and his angels battled against the dragon.
The dragon and its angels fought back,
but they did not prevail
and there was no longer any place for them in heaven.
The huge dragon, the ancient serpent,
who is called the Devil and Satan,
who deceived the whole world,
was thrown down to earth,
and its angels were thrown down with it.” – Revelation 12:7-9

Even though the hierarchy grants gray area – enough wiggle room for those Catholics who would grant access to the radical secular progressives’ lust for satanic power and control – I must speak the truth with absolute clarity … There. Is. No. Gray. Area. PERIOD!

When considering gravity of your vote, and the ramifications to your eternal salvation, consider the “Ten Anti-Commandments” of those seeking to overthrow our country in this election.

TEN ANTI-COMMANDMENTS OF SECULAR PROGRESSIVES

1. Thou shalt not believe in God. Every person is their own god. There are no absolute truths. As Pontius Pilate said, “What is truth?” Therefore, everyone’s individual feelings are all that matter. As the Satanic bible professes, “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.”
2. Thou shalt not resist secular progressivism, or thou shalt be persecuted. Therefore, thou shalt give complete submission, granting absolute trust, to all levers of influence owned and operated by secular progressives, including the MSM, Hollywood, television, universities and public schools.
3. Thou shalt not attend religious services, or thou shalt be deemed a threat to secular progressivism.
4. Thou shalt dispense with the outdated notion of the nuclear family. Anything can be considered a marriage and a family.
5. Thou shalt have the right to kill children in the wombs of their mothers.
6. Thou shalt hold that sodomy, pedophilia, fornication, prostitution and pornography are healthy and normal.
7. Thou shalt be free to lie, cheat and steal, if it be for the purpose of gaining power and control.
8. Thou art free to destroy the good name of another, if they threaten secular progressivism and/or it be for the purpose of gaining power and control.
9. Thou shalt not hold that marriage is a lifelong commitment or that marriage holds one to a singular partner only.
10. Thou shalt allow government to have complete control of thy property.

Elijah went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow him; but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing. (1 Kings 18:21)

What are you voting for? St. Michael and the Communion of Saints? Or, Satan and his minions? There is no middle ground!!

On the Feast of St. Michael the Archangel, I called out evil and spoke truth to power:
