We Move Out at Dawn – Take Heart, Our God Is Ever Before Us!

Dear USGF Special Ops Prayer Warriors,

On the eve of “Reparation 54,” my heart and my prayers go out to you.

Edgar Allen Poe once wrote:

“We have a task before us which must be speedily performed. We know that it will be ruinous to make delay … We stand upon the brink of a precipice. We peer into the abyss — we grow sick and dizzy. Our first impulse is to shrink from the danger. Unaccountably we remain. By slow degrees our sickness, and dizziness, and horror, become merged in a cloud of unnameable feeling. By gradations, still more imperceptible, this cloud assumes shape, as did the vapor from the bottle out of which arose the genies in the Arabian Nights. But out of this our cloud upon the precipice’s edge, there grows into palpability, a shape, far more terrible than any genies, or any demon of a tale, and yet it is but a thought, although a fearful one, and one which chills the very marrow of our bones with the fierceness of the delight of its horror. It is merely the idea of what would be our sensations during the sweeping precipitancy of a fall from such a height.”

All around us, in our culture and in our Church, we see levels of evil we never dreamed we would see. We are tempted to despair, believing there is no way but “down.” Yet, we of faith, know that our God will not abandon us to this evil. We carry hope in our heart that, when we, like the Ninevites, humble ourselves, offering our prayers and sacrifice in reparation, God will hear us.

Already, we have seen how the Almighty has shone His light on the wicked, denying the devil his most effective tactic: The cover of darkness. All around us, the Archfiend is being exposed, as the demons are panicked and scattering like rats running for cover.

Ultimately, it will be God and His Church that saves this planet from destruction. This is why we must pray fervently for the Church and Her leaders to become purified and strong, once again.

Tomorrow, Thursday, February 21, 2019, is the Vatican’s Worldwide Meeting of Bishops on the Abuse Crisis (February 21-24). Many see this as a watershed moment that will determine the direction the leadership of our Church chooses to take.

We must offer prayers and acts of reparation during this pivotal moment in history. Please, as you join forces in this mighty United States Grace Force, bring your Faith, Hope and Charity. God will provide.

Let’s move out, Grace Force!
